Olivetti: An Open-Source Design Language

Animation

2020

Olivetti is rebranded to be an open-source company. It is achieved by creating an Olivetti design language using open-source methodologies, in which elements can be modified to fit any need creating an unlimited number of products. The design language was developed using Testa & Weiser’s platform which utilizes assets from Le Corbusier’s Electronic Calculation Center. This design language is translated into a set of ambiguous objects with distinct qualities that are articulated once they are placed in a setting. Each setting shapes the interpretations, creating different environments, buildings, furniture and products.
